Beachcomber Island Activities
For the water sport enthusiasts Beachcomber Island activities include a range of water sports: kayaks, banana boat ride, parasailing, game fishing and hand line fishing.
Complimentary coral viewing and fish feeding trip around the island runs each day. We provide complimentary snorkelling equipment to in-house guests for use throughout your stay.
*For guests on Day Tours, snorkelling gear can be hired for $10 for a full day and $5 for half day. A $25 refundable deposit also applies.
Scuba Diving
Come dive with us and we will show you a side to Fiji you will never forget! Our fully qualified scuba diving instructors know every inch of coral in the region and will show you the very best dive sites to suit you, no matter your level of expertise.
With 44 dive sites around Mamanuca group Beachcomber Island has a few well known sites within a couple of kilometres each including shipwrecks, plane wrecks, shark encounters and many more.
Learn to scuba dive in a 5* PADI training facility. If you aren’t sure whether scuba diving is for you, then why not enrol in the introductory course – it only takes a few hours, and it’s an experience like no other!
Fishing
If you love fishing, our wonderful warm waters are excellent for ‘Big Game’ fishing conditions. The ultra-deep ocean and a labyrinth of reefs and passages make for an exciting place to fish.
Game fish caught here include:
- Wahoo (probably the fastest fish in the ocean)
- Sail Fish and Marlin (legendary for their fighting tactics)
- Barracuda (Fiji holds the world record)
- Giant Trevally, Tuna and MahiMahi (beautiful colours, strong fighting and delicious to eat). Fighting one of these heavyweight tropical speedsters is a fantastic experience.
